FAQs

Which charitable organizations are supported on Greatest Good?

Greatest Good is a platform where people donate their time to raise money for causes they care about. Each Advisor selects a charitable organization and 100% of donations go to it. We even cover all transaction costs. Visit an Advisor’s profile page to see what organization they support.

Who makes Greatest Good happen?

Greatest Good is a result of the collective effort of the people you see below and a bunch of our friends. We come from the world of tech, media and marketing, and each of us has volunteered our time, skills, and networks to make this possible.

Who has access to Advisors?

Anyone can request a video chat with an Advisor if they have availability in a given month, but Advisors have the final say in which sessions they take. Each request requires a brief overview of the desired topic of conversation and ideal outcome. The rate is $250 for every 30 minute video chat session.

Why was my session request rejected?

Although Advisors have generously donated their time each month, they may not be able to accommodate your request for various reasons. The most common reason is due to time restrictions, so we encourage you to plan in advance to give the Advisor scheduling flexibility.

Another common reason requests are rejected is the selected topic of discussion. An Advisor may be knowledgeable about a subject, but may still elect not to advise on the matter due to competitive issues, contractual obligations or personal preference. For this reason, we recommend that you carefully note the topics listed under each Advisor's "Likes to Talk About" section.

What forms of payment are accepted?

Greatest Good uses Balanced Payments to accept payments made via credit card. All major credit cards are accepted.

How do I select an Advisor?

On the homepage, click the tab for Advisors. From there, you will be able to sort and filter Advisors based on your business need. We are constantly adding new Advisors across a variety of verticals so if you don't find a fit, please check back again. Once you've selected an Advisor, click "Book" and follow the instructions.

How do I submit a donation to a charitable organization?

All Advisors have the organizations they support listed on their profile. At the conclusion of your session, you have 48 hours to report any issues that may warrant a refund. After that, we will charge your credit card at the specified donation amount (including overages) and electronically direct the funds to the charity’s bank account.

Are my donations to the charities tax deductible?

Unless a donation is made directly to Greatest Good, your donations will not be tax deductible. If your payment is made in exchange for an Advisor's time, you are receiving a product worth that full value and is therefore not tax deductible. That said, rest assured that 100% of your donation will go directly to the charitable organizations because Greatest Good covers all transaction costs.

Is Greatest Good a non-profit organization?

Greatest Good is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

How do I apply to be an Advisor?

We take our Advisor selection process very seriously, ensuring the platform offers a well-rounded mix of experts from a diverse set of backgrounds. You can apply here if you’d like to be an Advisor. You may also be prompted to provide any additional credentials (e.g., press clippings, awards, etc.). The Greatest Good staff will then review your application and respond to you within seven days.
